Devitrak
Full-stack platform for managing inventory lifecycle, event logistics, payment workflows, and bulk operations across distributed environments. Built with React, TypeScript, Node.js, and Go workers.

Problem
Event operations teams needed a unified platform to manage inventory across multiple events, handle payment workflows, and process bulk operations efficiently. Existing solutions were fragmented, requiring manual coordination between inventory tracking, event logistics, and payment processing.
Solution
Designed and built a full-stack platform that consolidates inventory lifecycle management, event operations, and payment workflows into a single system. The architecture uses React/TypeScript for the frontend, Node.js for the API layer, and Go workers for high-throughput background processing.
Architecture
- Frontend: React with TypeScript, complex forms for inventory management, real-time status updates
- API Layer: Node.js with Express, REST endpoints, authentication, and authorization
- Background Processing: Go workers handling event queues, bulk operations, and async workflows
- Data Layer: MongoDB for document storage, MySQL for relational data, Redis for caching and queues
- Infrastructure: AWS services, Docker containers, deployment automation
Key Technical Decisions
- Chose Go for workers due to performance requirements in bulk inventory operations
- Implemented RBAC for multi-tenant event management
- Used message queues to decouple payment processing from inventory updates
- Designed inventory lifecycle states to support complex event workflows
Impact
The platform significantly reduced operational overhead for event teams by centralizing inventory management, automating payment workflows, and enabling bulk operations that previously required manual intervention.
